2014 Summer US West Coast Trip - Part 1

Here is the tentative trip plan, please feed back:)) Please pay more attention on bold items.

Sunday July 6

flight to SFO, get rental car (SUV or Sedan?)
Drive to Half Moon Bay ,you can check its website or online to see what interest thing to do here.
Evening super at Barbara's Fishtrap, Half Moon Bay , pretty good seafood.
Enjoy along the beach and stay in Coastside Inn, (http://www.coastsideinn.com/) - Continental Breakfast included.

Monday July 7

Santa Cruz  Beach town near redwood forests.  The historical boardwalk has an amusement park with a 1924 wooden roller coaster.  Do girls want have some rides?
If girls want to have some rides, then at least half day in Santa Cruz. While you are riding, mom and dad could walk on the beach. after this, we head to Monterey Bay Aquarium, official site is http://www.montereybayaquarium.org/

MontereyCarmelPacific Grove  World famous Cannery Row, world class Monterey Bay Aquarium, quaint storybook like town of Carmel, 17 Mile Drive (Home of Pebble Beach & The Lone Cypress Tree), Point Lobos State Park  World famous Cannery Row, after all this, looks we need go to bed at Carmel Mission Inn.

Tuesday July 8 (birthday?:))

No Breakfast at Carmel Mission Inn, so get up early and leave for Big Sur.

Big Sur   90 miles of wild coastline between Carmel and San Simeon, where the Santa Lucia mountains rise directly out of the Pacific.  Some of the finest scenery in the United States.

Wednesday July 9

Get up late and head to Cambria, a charming town nestled in a pine forest next to the sea, Hearst Castle, and the elephant seal rookery at Piedras Blancas.  Main street has many excellent shops and restaurants.  Wine tasting in nearby Paso Robles.

Ok, the next town is Morro bay,  a quaint fishing village offering kayaking, whale watching and a shopping friendly embarcadero...

We will catch a sleep at Santa Barbara, Also known as the California Riviera, well known for its Spanish architecture, palm trees and pleasant year-round climate.  Great shopping and dining on State Street. yeah, shopping and dining! Stay at Best Western Plus South Coast Inn with breakfast.

There are quite few towns and beaches, we will see the time, or maybe spend more time.

Thursday July 10 - shopping day!

Get up and we could spend more time on beaches and towns even going back a bit.

There is a Camarillo Premium Outlets within 40 minutes driving...Then we head to Carlsbad Outlet - http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/directions.asp?id=66, the go to San Diego for night.

Due to the crazy traffic around LA, we go San Diego 1st then come back to LA.
San Diego, things to do?
Visit La Jolla Cove and see the magnificent sunset on the ocean?
The 59-Mile Scenic Drive allows travelers to take in all of the must-see places in San Diego?

Friday July 11

San Diego SeaWorld, what else, we plan stay Manhattan beach or Long beach overnight.

Saturday July 12

Sunday July 13

Hard day to drive back to San Francisco!:(( 6 hours or more.
Possible Stop at Orange County, LA, Stanford University, Silicon valley, what else?!
